Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 August 2026

Welcome to Young Actors Academy Sale. By registering a child for our classes, workshops or holiday programmes, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Registration

Places are subject to availability and are confirmed once registration has been accepted by Young Actors Academy Sale.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and kept up to date.

2. Fees and Payment

Fees must be paid by the date stated on your invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to pay on time may result in a child’s place being withdrawn.

Any bank charges incurred as a result of failed or reversed payments remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

3. Weekly Classes

Fees secure your child’s place within the class rather than payment for individual sessions.

Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot normally be transferred to another date.

As we work towards productions, students are expected to commit to the term and attend weekly classes.

If Young Actors Academy Sale has to cancel a class, you will be offered either an alternative date, a credit or a full refund.

4. Holiday Workshops

Holiday workshop places are reserved specifically for each child.

If you cancel your booking, refunds are not normally available up to one week before, unless we are able to fill the place from our waiting list.

If Young Actors Academy Sale has to cancel a workshop, you will be offered either an alternative date, a credit or a full refund.

5. Absence

If your child is unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

No refund or credit will normally be given for illness, holidays or other absences.

6. Behaviour

We aim to provide a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all students.

Children are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, volunteers and fellow students.

Persistent disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour may result in a child being asked to leave a session or, in serious cases, their place at Young Actors Academy Sale being withdrawn. Where possible, concerns will be discussed with parents before this step is taken.

7. Medical Information

Parents and guardians must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, additional needs or medication that may affect their child’s participation.

Emergency contact details must be kept up to date.

8. Collection of Children

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children are collected promptly at the end of each session unless other arrangements have been agreed.

We reserve the right to charge reasonable additional costs where repeated late collection occurs.

9. Photography and Video

Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken during classes, rehearsals or performances for promotional purposes.

We will only use images where appropriate consent has been provided by a parent or guardian.

10. Performances

Participation in performances is expected, unless there are special circumstances.

Casting decisions are made by the teaching team and are based on the needs of the production. These decisions are final.

11. Health and Safety

Children must follow staff instructions at all times to help maintain a safe environment.

Parents should not send children to class if they are unwell with a contagious illness.

12. Personal Belongings

Students are responsible for their own belongings.

Young Actors Academy Sale cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items.

13. Liability

While every reasonable care is taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, participation in drama, dance and performance activities involves an element of physical activity. This may be between students in rehearsals and to convey a performance, or as staff members during rehearsals or to demonstrate movement.

Young Actors Academy Sale accepts no liability for injury or loss except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

14. Changes to Classes

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to teachers, timetables, venues, class content or performance arrangements where necessary.

Should a session need to be cancelled by us, we will arrange a replacement session where possible or offer an appropriate alternative or refund.

15. notice of withdrawl

For term time classes, we ask for one term’s notice if your child wants to leave YAAS. If sufficient notice is not given, fees for the notice period may still be payable.

Where possible we ask that students do not withdraw from rehearsals for a performance or production. Casting, rehearsal schedules and scripts are planned around each students’ participation and withdrawing during this period can have a specific impact on the rest of the cast and the production. If exceptional circumstances arise, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the best way forward.
